While I was preparing the cookie dough for that recipe, I noticed it was the perfect texture for edible cookie dough. Well, as fate would have it, this recipe was inspired by my recent Double Chocolate Vegan Black Bean Cookies. This to say, there are people in this world who love dough, and I happen to be one of them. When I was a kid, my family would make ginormous batches of chocolate chip cookie dough, some of which was reserved for my dad and I to eat raw (eggs and all, people), and some of which we baked into cookies. Vegan butter or ghee: I found this vegan ghee that works great! You can sub coconut, avocado, or olive oil but the butter really gives it that cookie dough feel! You could start with 1/2 cup and add more as needed once everything is mixed together! I would say you could try using oat flour but you wouldn’t need as much, as it’s more dense than almond flour. Always check the label! I love these.Īlmond flour: This is my fave (use “danishealthyeats20” at checkout for 20% off!) I haven’t tested any subs for this. Raisins: I always try and opt for an unsweetened option that is just raisins, as they’re often full of vegetable oils and added sugars. Protein Powder: Use your favorite flavor here as it’ll add some sweetness and flavor to the recipe! Vanilla, salted caramel, or even peanut butter flavors would all be great! I highly recommend using Macro Mike, as their flavors are AMAZING. Oatmeal: I always opt for organic rolled oats as they are less processed than quick oats! Peanut Butter Stuffed Oreos What you need to make this vegan cookie dough I wouldn’t! This recipe was specifically formulated to be no-bake, edible cookie dough! I don’t think they would bake properly! I do have tons of other baked cookie recipes, if that’s more your jam! When you’re ready to eat, you can let them thaw a few minutes or eat them frozen as well! Can you bake the cookie dough? Then add to a mason jar, Tupperware, or baggie and store in the freezer. ![]() Yes! You can use a cookie scoop to scoop the dough into balls.
